Dr. Adedayo Olawuni (Dr. Dayo) is an Irish-trained Family Physician who began his journey in medicine in Europe where he completed his medical studies and obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the Medical University of Lodz, Poland. He also holds a Master of Public Administration with specialisation in Health Systems from Clark University in Massachusetts, USA, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School – Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Dr. Olawuni completed a residency programme (Basic Specialist Training) in General Internal Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and also has some experience in the field of oncology. He became a collegiate member of the Royal College of Physician of Ireland in 2016, and he is also a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow. Dr. Olawuni is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health (UK).

Due to his penchant for family medicine and the holistic care that it offers, Dr. Olawuni went on to complete his 4-year Family Residency Programme under the auspice of the Irish College of General Practitioners. He is also a collegiate member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and holds the MICGP designation. Dr. Olawuni also obtained additional education and training in the field of Paediatrics and care for older persons (Geriatric Medicine) by completing the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland’s professional postgraduate diplomas in Paediatrics and Geriatric medicine. He is an all-round physician and a firm believer in the provision of all-round, holistic and patient-centred care, to patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds. As a family physician with a comprehensive knowledge base, he has particular interests in: comprehensive family medicine; preventative care; health risks assessment; management of chronic illnesses; care for older persons; oncology; minor surgery; paediatrics; and men’s health and women’s health including contraception and hormone replacement therapy (HRT). He is certified by the Irish College of General Practitioners in contraception – Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) – IUCD & Subdermals.

Dr. Olawuni is a firm believer in quality improvement in healthcare, equity in healthcare and patient safety. To broaden his knowledge in this important area of medical care, he completed a 1-year Quality Improvement Scholar in Residence and Fellowship Programme with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and the International Society of Quality in Healthcare.

Dr. Olawuni can provide services in English and Yoruba, and he also speaks beginner Polish. When Dr. Olawuni is not practising medicine, he enjoys volunteering, watching movies, travelling, watching a good game of football, and spending time with his family and friends.
